Happy Easter!

Love, love this note Hudson wanted to leave out for the Easter Bunny! He had Rob draw a pic of a bunny on it...and then he drew himself and Lawson on either side of the bunny...with all 3 of them holding hands! Tug my heart Hudson!
The Easter Bunny brought new summer PJs and kid sized Tervis Tumblers! (the most awesome cups from Bed, Bath and Beyond! I should do informercials for them, seriously! I don't leave home without mine. Ever!)

Let the egg hunting begin!

Lawson came into our room at 4:30 asking to sleep with us...however, Hudson had already beat her to it...there just isn't room for all 4 of us in our queen sized bed. So, I said I would go lay back down with her. She NEVER went back to sleep. She was just too excitied I think...and just kept jabbering! I held her off til 6:30 and then we went and woke Huson up. So, we got an ealry start on Easter!

Then I made us a yummy Easter dinner....if I do say so mysef! Ham with pinapple, fancy green beans, mac n cheese and crecent rolls! We finished opening our final 2 ressurection eggs tonight and we made Resurectin rolls to demonstrate how Jesus did not stay in the tomb!

We had a very fun, meaningful and yummy day!

Easter Eve

We spent the morning decorating easter eggs. Lawson and Hudson were able to tackle this project pretty much independently this year! And they spent about an hour designing some pretty fabulous eggs!

LOVE Hud's concentration mouth in this pic!

Here are their masterpieces!

Then we cleaned up and went to the 4 o clock Easter Service at Keystone! What a Jesus celebration party it was! We had a DJ center stage! Only Keystone, right?! It was an amazing weekend. 5 services. 55 people Baptized. 83 people found life in Christ for the first time. 2300 in attendance! How awesome to become a Christ follower on Easter!

Afterwards, we headed to Dickey's for some yummy Barbeque...our ususal Sat dinner spot and then headed home for a quick photo shoot. I'm sure our neighbors really enjoyed watching us pose for one another! And pose for our tripod! Ha!

Getting a Jump Start on Easter

The city of Keller hosted an Easter Egg hunt at a local city park today. So, we grabbed our bunny and sheep ears and headed out to get some eggs and visit with the Easter Bunny! It was a beautiful cool spring morning! We had such a great time! The hunt was divided into age groups. So, Hud was up first! He had puffy little eyes...he has been suffering a bit from allergies...and we hadnt been up too long! He remembered wearing these sheep ears on previous Easters...and wanted to find them and wear them! If you know him...and you know how particular he is about what he wears...and wanting to look non-"girlish"...then you like me are probably suprised he wore these out! It was greatness! Way to get into the holiday, Hudsy!

Then is was Lawson's turn!

Lawson was so sweet afterwards...giving Hudson some of her eggs to even things out! Her idea. Sweet Lawson!

Then for a picnic lunch and some playground time!

We had a lot of other "To-Do's" we needed to tackle today...but we made the right decision to squeeze in some family fun this morning! Definately worth it!

Go Pirates! We Heart Hudson!

So, some t-ball news... La and I thought it would be fun to make a sign to take to Hud's games to show our support! So, this was our afternoon project last Sat. I have absolutely NO artistic ability...but I was pretty impressed with our end result!

Hudson has been patiently...and sometimes not so patiently...waiting for his turn to play at pitcher position. He knows that the pitcher doesn't actually "pitch" in t-ball...but he has picked up on the fact that whoever is playing pitcher gets a lot of action fielding balls. And Hudson is all about action! (Most of the kids can't hit them out of infield.) He was so cute with his perfect baseball form out there on the mound!

After each game, they have a team huddle and the coach gives out the game ball to a deserving player. Here was the dialogue in the huddle:

Coach: Tonight the team ball is going to go to a player who payed attention out on the field the whole game...and that is key!

Kid (looking around at all the other teammates): Coach we don't have a Key.

(The kids all thought he meant the player who payed attention is "Key"! (So funny!)

Coach: Do we have a number 1 on the team?

Hudson jumped up and raised his hand: Me!

He was SO proud! He kept saying he knew if he played pitcher he would get the game ball! I guess he was right!

Way to go Hudson!
