We spent a few days at my mom's house after Christmas. Steph brought her kids and stayed one night there with us. Her crew didn't make Christmas at the Gibbs house this year...so we were anxious for her to come and do a little "Christmas" with them!
The kids thoroughly enjoyed their time playing together. Really fun to watch them all playing together!
After dinner we got in PJs and went and drove around looking at some fun Christmas light displays in town!
Lawson is in LOVE with Baby Gibson! Poor buddy wasn't feeling very well!
Hudson and Chandler became pretty big buddies too!
The next morning we were able to share a birthday breakfast with Cousin Reece, too!
The kids texted (gotta love technology!)Rob and I from their rooms to tell us they were ready to come see if Santa delivered!
Lawson asked for a beta fish and Santa delivered! She is so proud to have her own pet! Definitely a first for our household!
Hudson asked for a bebe gun! Santa didn't disappoint! Another first for our household!
It was freezing out! But Hudson could not wait to shoot his new gun!
Kid at heart!
Hudson busted into some of the stocking stuffers while we got ready to go eat breakfast with the Buie side of the family!
Of course, the new fish and new bebe gun had to come with us!
We enjoyed a yummy breakfast! Then went home to get dressed, pack up and drive to Texarkana for some more Christmas!
We enjoyed our traditional Chicken Tortilla Soup and warm buttery sandwiches for dinner. Then moved on to the kids acting out the Christmas story with mom's nativity pieces, Baby Jesus birthday cake and presents! It's always a super fun time!
I have been married for 19years (where has the time gone???) to my best friend! God has blessed us with two precious children who make us laugh at least once every day (and make us want to pull our hair out every now and then as well!)
I love Jesus, my wonderful family, my friends, the color red, the Cowboys, the Mavericks, watching my kids play (when they don't know I am watching), the internet, holiday traditions, People Magazine, Diet Coke, the USA, things on sale, floating on a raft in the pool, good hair days, thunderstorms, text messaging, watching sports with my hubby, PF Changs, the beach, reality TV, Happy Hour at Sonic, exercising, good music, holding my kids' hands, movies, red licorice, sunsets, shopping for anything, a clean house, laying in bed and watching Good Morning America, vacations, pedicures, my kids dressed in their Sunday best, New York City, new clothes, babies, Pottery Barn and laughing! (It might would have been easier for me to tell you what I DON'T like!)
I am so thankful for the blessings (big and small) that my wonderful Savior gives me each day and for his love and mercy that never fail!
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:4-5)
