The city of Keller hosted an Easter Egg hunt at a local city park today. So, we grabbed our bunny and sheep ears and headed out to get some eggs and visit with the Easter Bunny! It was a beautiful cool spring morning! We had such a great time!
The hunt was divided into age groups. So, Hud was up first! He had puffy little eyes...he has been suffering a bit from allergies...and we hadnt been up too long! He remembered wearing these sheep ears on previous Easters...and wanted to find them and wear them! If you know him...and you know how particular he is about what he wears...and wanting to look non-"girlish"...then you like me are probably suprised he wore these out! It was greatness! Way to get into the holiday, Hudsy!

Then is was Lawson's turn!

Go Pirates! We Heart Hudson!
So, some t-ball news...
La and I thought it would be fun to make a sign to take to Hud's games to show our support! So, this was our afternoon project last Sat. I have absolutely NO artistic ability...but I was pretty impressed with our end result!
Hudson has been patiently...and sometimes not so patiently...waiting for his turn to play at pitcher position. He knows that the pitcher doesn't actually "pitch" in t-ball...but he has picked up on the fact that whoever is playing pitcher gets a lot of action fielding balls. And Hudson is all about action! (Most of the kids can't hit them out of infield.) He was so cute with his perfect baseball form out there on the mound!
After each game, they have a team huddle and the coach gives out the game ball to a deserving player. Here was the dialogue in the huddle:
Coach: Tonight the team ball is going to go to a player who payed attention out on the field the whole game...and that is key!
Kid (looking around at all the other teammates): Coach we don't have a Key.
(The kids all thought he meant the player who payed attention is "Key"! (So funny!)
Coach: Do we have a number 1 on the team?
Hudson jumped up and raised his hand: Me!
He was SO proud! He kept saying he knew if he played pitcher he would get the game ball! I guess he was right!
Way to go Hudson!

Simple Sunday
I got up and worked out this morning and then speed cleaned my house top to bottom. Meanwhile, La and Hud fed and dressed all SIX of their babies...Reese, Cannon, Palmer, Griffin, Brooklyn and Chandler. (do those names ring a bell with anyone?) Then they got them in their strollers and told me that they wanted to take them on a walk. How could I resist that? So cute!
I love it when they play this way! It's adorable! I know the clock is clicking and it won't be long before these days are over! (Notice the diaper bag hanging on the stroller Hud is pushing...it is packed with bottles, toys, diapers and burp cloths! Lawson has one on her stroller too. These kids know the drill!
After our walk, we decided to pack up a picnic lunch and head to the park. It was a warm and super breezy day! It was gorgeous!

Hudson starts T-Ball
Hudson REALLY wants to play baseball (and have the ball pitched to him)...but it's not offered until you are 6. So, he has settled for T-Ball! His first game was rained out on Tues and was rescheduled for Friday. Then he had a another game today (Sat.) Here are some pics from his fist two games!
Here he is looking good in his Pirates uniform. He is number 1.m (That's right baby!)
The team mom had the boys all organized in the dogout. They sit in batting order. They also have their name on little baskets under their seat to keep their water bottles, gloves, etc in. You can tell she has done this before!
How cute are they out on the field! (Hudson is next to Coach Robbie...aka Daddy... in the black)
Hudson Batting
This video makes it look like Hudson got a home run. And I'm sure he will one day! But, the last batter gets to run all the way around the bases!
