Fun Weekend

What a fun weekend! 

 Nonie and Poppa came to visit!  Friday night we ate dinner at Babe's Chicken in old downtown Roanoke.  We have lived in the metroplex for 11 years now...and it's kinda embarassing that we have never done this.  Evidently it is what all the cool people do!  So, maybe we are a notch cooler now!  It was fun.  Only 2 menu options....fried chicken or chicken fried steak!  And then everyone gets mashed potatoes, cream corn, salad and biscuit!  The chicken fried steak and cream corn were like candy!  No kidding!  I could get into some serious trouble with those two!  Then after dinner we sat out on the patio enjoying the beautiful weather and "quaintness" of the area.  And Lawson and Nonie got into the "Hokey Pokey" that was playing on the speakers!

We walked up and down the street enjoying all the little shops!  Rob even got into it! Check out his blonde spike!

Then on Saturday the kids got treated to some new Childrens Place duds!  Always SO fun!  Thank you Nonie and Poppa SO much!

After church we watched the sun set and ate snow cones!  (Somehow Hudson evaded most of the pics!)

Anytime we were home...the kids had Nonie and Poppa busy playing board games!  They are such troopers!

Then after Sunday the kids busted out their lemonade stand.  They each earned about $4.  Hudson brought out his guitar and drums....he said he was trying to "get more business" by playing them....while Lawson sang and danced on the ice chest!  It definately made it more interesting!

Easter Duds

Easter Morning

This will be an Easter to remember! We had TWO visitors at our house last night...the Easter Bunny AND the Tooth Fairy! Hudson lost his SECOND tooth yesterday in the bathroom at McDonalds! Quite an event!

Usually the hunting is over pretty quickly...but the Easter Bunny offered a bit more of a challenge this year! It was fun!

Hudson tried to up the degree of difficulty by hunting WITHOUT using his basket! Not sure why?! (Check out that gap in his smile!)

Then it was time to go through all the eggs!

The living room may never be the same!

Then breaking in the bubbles the Easter Bunny brought!

Lunch Date with the Nalleys

We planned a little lunch date with the Nalleys at The Harbor in Rockwwall for this morning! And the weather was beautiful!

We had a yummy lunch on the Patio at Glorias.Then we spent about on hour walking around the gorgeous bordwalk and lake!

After we had a little fender bender (Lawson tripped and fell on Brooklyn causing her to scrape her elbow...it was a bit tramatizing for them both!)...we decided to treat everyone with some of ice cream!

And then back out to watch the water fountains!

This is the second time we have met up at The Harbor and definately needs to be a yearly tradition. Super fun!

Lawson thoroughly enjoyed her "care-taker" roll! So cute!

Easter Eggs

It's Good Friday and the kids were out of school and Rob and I were off from work!

We grabbed some of Rob's old T-Shirts and enjoyed the annual Easter Egg Decorating!

I took the kids to Albertsons and let each of them pick out the egg decorating kit of their choice. Lawson picked a cute one with stickers and Hudson picked a Camoflauge egg set! Who knew that even existed!

Awww...do you remember the smell? The vinegar smell?

And here are the final results! The camo eggs were pretty cool!

And THIS fun delivery showed up at the door while we were decorating from Nonie and Poppa! These cookies are always SO fun and So cute!
