When you read the gospels, they are full of stories of how Jesus served others. He knew that meeting peoples needs would be the most effective way to draw people to himself. What an honor to follow in his example, and hopefully point others to Him.
The Awana club colored goodie bags and filled them with snacks. We then took them and passed them out at the bus station. It was so neat to see a servants heart ignited in the kids. They were into it and didn't get bored with it.
We also sang some praise and worship songs while we were out there.
Our church collected food from members and then passed out Thanksgiving meal food boxes. We fed about 2500 people. Isn't that wonderful?! We helped carry the boxes out to the people's cars. I pray that God can use these simple things to draw people to himself.
