Hudson was given the role of the Baliff in Willowbrook Elementary's production of Goldilocks on Trial. Drama Club is an optional after school activitiy that met once a week for about three months. The teacher had the kids read lines and then turn in their top preference for the roles they wanted to play. Hudson thought he would like a minor role...so their would not be much for him to learn. His teacher approached us about him taking one of the more major roles because she thought he would do a great job. After consideration, he agreed and got busy learning his lines. I'm glad she challenged him. She was right....he was great!
The backstage crew created the stage set....with paint and a roll of paper. It was very impressive. Really looked like they were in a courtroom and in the three bears home!
The teachers did a great job assigning the roles. The kids were just perfect for their parts. They did a great job of staging the play introducing the kids to theatre. The play was 45 minutes long and the kids had dozens of lines. They pulled this off with about 15 hours of practice total. Alot to coordinate...pretty amazing! I loved the play...it was very enjoyable. Great job everone!
The entire cast!
Hudson, we are so proud of how hard you worked to learn your lines and accepting such a challenging role! You played your role great!
