Lawson and I had to help follow Hudson's direction and to the recording.
We might have been a little embarassed to be seen outside with them! But, we did our part! (We looked at Rob and realized that our assignment could have been worse!)
Hudson edited 1 version completely by himself. Then he upped his game and let Rob teach him more about iMovie and edited a pretty slick version. Here are both versions. Pretty impressive to me!
Lawon's class went on a tour of the Jr High. How OLD is my baby girl! I had to bring her lunchbox to school to her that day...and I happened to see her class going into the Jr High across the street. The cheerleaders had formed a spririt tunnel, kids were cheerling and holding up welcome signs. What a warm welcome! I thought it was just the kindest idea!
The 2nd annual Bentonville Film Festival which is put on to promote women in the film industry was held this month. It brought celebrities to town. We went out to the square one Friday night to check it out.
Meg Ryan
Kimberly Williams Paisley (the only one we saw in person)
We had a lot of fun walking around the booths and getting freebies from all the big vendors.
I hit the jackpot with these two! They have my heart!
Even though I think they will both be taller than me before too long...they are my forever babies!
Love em!
I got some great cards, gift cards and a cookie cake! Mama is happy!
That afternoon I got treated to a pedicure with my best girl! (You can hardly tell whose feet are whose!! Just about the same size!)
Hudson did a presentation at school on his idol Steph Curry. He created a powerpoint presentation to go with it. Pretty impressive!
Hudson was asked to host the Film Wars contest at his school. What an honor! He worked hard to memorize all his lines and did an excellent job. The librarian was in charge of the presentation of the awards and so it was a little hectic....but he handled it like a pro! Hudson even got to present an award to himself!Lawson entered a reading contest at school this year. If she read 40 books, she got to go on a bowling field trip! And she did it! This was a huge task. The books had to be 140 pages each! That's about 5 books a month on top of the rest of her schoolwork and cheer. Way to go Lawson! I'm so glad you like to read!
Amazeum has free admission nights sponsored by Tyson on Wednesday nights. We had a open night one Wednesday I took the kids. They had both been on school field trips earlier in the year and had been asking to go back. We had fun a time! Lawson has always loved to play "check out girl"! I'm not sure she will EVER outgrow it!
Doodad came and spent one weekend with us. He went to watch Hudson play baseball and then we went and watched him Ref a state championship soccer game. The kids were so excited to see him in action! We had a lot of fun!
Before we new it, it was the last day of school!
Which deserved some celebrating!
Judy and Turner came up to spend Memorial Day weekend with us. We spent Friday night of memorial day weekend watching Hud play his last regular baseball game of the season. Saturday we spent the day at Roaring River park in MS. The weather was gorgeous and we had so much fun fishing, swimming, skipping rocks, feeding fish at the hatchery and just exploring nature. I had to wake the kids up the next morning at 10:10 to get ready for church! Apparently, the river wore them out!
We celebrated Judy's bday a few days early while they were in town with us.
After church Sunday, we headed out to the pool for the first swim of the season!
Looking forward to many more summer days spent like this!
It rained all day Monday. So, we took it easy Monday morning. That afternoon I took the kids to go bowling and use some free passes at Fast Lane.
We ended our long holiday weekend by watching Hudson's Warriors win game 7 over the Thunder after being behind 3-1 in the series! Quite impessive...and a whole lot of fun to watch!
