Lawson and I have been working on coming up with a really fun "story" to explain what happened. Like a star fell out of the sky and bonked her head or a duck at the park "quacked" her on the head or a psychotic bird was flying to low and grazed her head.
But, the truth is we were just walking through a wooded parking lot to Hudson's soccer game and a metal stake that was propped up on a tree (for some unknown reason) fell over and hit her on the head.
Poor baby! It was really hurt. The stake was very heavy and about 6 feet tall. After we got the bleeding to slow down, we could tell we needed to take her to the dr. So, Rob stayed with Hudson at the soccer fields and La and I headed off to Care Now.

They wished they could have used the durabond...but they explained to me that with the cut's width and where it was in ther hairline it just wouldn't do the trick. So, she was VERY brave while they gave her the numbing shot in her head. The nurse expected to need to get some other nurses to help hold ehr down for the shot. But, nope! She was a bit tense and her eyes got glassy....but she did great! Then she just chatted with the nurse (as she was in no pain) while she
got 4 stitches. She is a very brave little girl!
Again, because it was in her hairline they could not put just a normal band aid over the wound. SO, here is how she looked when we were all done! Pretty awesome fashion statement, huh?! It was hiliarous to me that she wore her tye dye t-shirt today. With this headband, she looked like a TOTAL hippy chick! They said she could resume all her normal activities. So, she sported this look to a birthday party, to run to Target with me, to church tonight and to supper at Dickeys. She did tell me a one point, "Mom, people keep looking at me with this thing on my head!" We just laughed!
The good news was that with a head injury they get you right in! No waiting room time!
So, we were able to make it back in time to the soccer fields to see the 4th quarter of Hud's game! And we saw him score a goal!
Thank you, God, for your hand of protection!
We are thankful it was only 4 stitches and in her hairline!
