3 days ago it was a warm 75 degree "winter" day and today we woke up to this...
It was a warm 18 degree day with wind gusts of 30mph! It was the coldest day here in 15 years! And tonight it gets down to 12!
It was a warm 18 degree day with wind gusts of 30mph! It was the coldest day here in 15 years! And tonight it gets down to 12! So, we bundled up and had a blast enjoying our day off from school and work!
The snow was too powdery and icy to make a snowman. However, we managed to come up with a lot of other fun things to do...
We ate snow!
Made snow angels!
Had snow ball fights!
Took a few play breaks!
Enjoyed a "snow" slide!
Drug our feet in the snow while swinging!
Built "snow"castles! (This was a first for me!)
Played snow-baseball!
And of course, snow-football!
Cleaned off the cars!
Rode our vehicles!
The kids were sliding like crazy in their jeep! And just laughing!
And of course, ended the day with some baking sheet sledding!

I know 2 kids that are gonna sleep good tonight! They were outside for playing hard for almost 4 hours today!
Thank you, God, for the blessing of this day! It was a much needed break and refresher for me!
Did you already have those snowveralls for the kids? Or where did you get them? I had the WORST snow outfit for B when we went out to play yesterday!!
