Spring Break 2016

<
It wouldn't be Easter if we weren't wearing "daddy" shirts while we dyed eggs!  Part of the tradition!
Of course the wheels of creativity started turning, and we ended up with some creative eggs.
Lawson made a "dolphin" egg. These were some fun color block eggs we made with the kit we bought this year.
Hudson made  Steph Curry egg!

First stop on Spring Break was Texarkana.  Mimi had planned a fun Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt that went all over her house with clues.  The kids LOVED it!  Really fun idea!  The last egg was a $1 filled egg for each of them.  They were excited!  The next day they re-hid all eggs for their cousins who were coming over.
We spend one afternoon riding bikes and fishing at the park.  The weather was Spring perfect!  Cool and sunny!

Lawson, Mimi and I decorated these cute cookies!
Landry and Ashley and crew joined us for dinner one night.  Doo Dad cooked out burgers!  Yumo!
The girls and boys play seperately for the most part these days! And I'm not sure which group has the most fun!
We had a little early b-day party for Lawson after dinner.  Mom made the cutest "12" cake!  And there is no better cake than my mom's bday cakes!

The next day we had lunch dates with the Gibbs kids at their school.
Lawson, Doodad and I went to eat lunch with Reese.

We had made these cute little bunny noses to take pics with at dinner the night before so we had to take the pics at school.  And although that seemed like a good idea....
...it might not have been!
Things got a little crazy!

And these two could NOT stop laughing!  Meanwhile everyone else in the cafeteria was on "silent".
The girls were sitting with their backs to the teachers and couldn't see the "stink" eye they kept giving us!  And of course, when you arn't supposed to laugh things are 10X funnier!

After lunch, Lawson, Mom and I went to buy fabric for a little sewing project.  Mimi helped Lawson make 2 dresses for her American Girl doll from start to finish!
She learned how to use the sewing machine.
She did a great job!  And I had fun setting up the doll for a little modeling photo shoot!
Meanwhile, Doodad, Rob and Hudson played golf.
The next day we drove to Little Rock to hang out with Nonie and Poppa for a few days.  Hudson started working this puzzle, decided it was too hard, and abadonded it.  Turner and Rob worked on it for the next 5 hours!
Ta Da!
(This was the Christmas gift we gave Morgan for Christmas.  Apparently, we give really mean gifts.  There are only 200 pieces...but they are all the same color!)
The next day Lawson and Anna hung out together.  They went to lunch at Purple Cow for lunch and then jumped for hours at Altitude Trampoline Park.
Then home to walk the dog...
...learn cheer routines in the back yard.
...braid hair ad listen to music!  What more could two 12 year olds want?!
Meanwhile the boys went to Academy, Taco Bell and the Retro Arcade.  What more could they want?!  It was a fun day!
The final day of Spring Break week was Lawson's 12th Birthday...which deserves a post of its own!
