October 31

This was a BIG day!  We started by attending the 4th Grade awards assemble!  Lawson won 3 awards: A Honor Roll, Perfect Attendance and Citizenship!  What a great start to her year!  So proud of all her hard work!

Then afterschool we got costumed up...and headed out to trick or treat in our new neighborhood!
This year we had a blue m & m.

And the Karate Kid! (complete with a busted eye!)

We covered our entire neighborhood....the kids walked almost 2 miles.  They had a lot of fun!  The temp was perfect!  Cool but not cold! And they scored LOTS of candy!  Yay?!

This year we pained pumpkins instead of carving them!  They wanted to make minion pumpkins...from the movie despicable me.  Again...something you just don't see coming in your life.  Minions are weird looking little dudes!
 Weird...but happy!

Last Game of the Season

We wrapped up Hudson's flag football season today.  The last game was held at War Memorial Stadium.  Pretty awesome experience for these little guys!  Hudson was SO excited to play at War Memorial Stadium because he had just watched Bryant High play in the Salt Bowl here a few weeks ago...and he know that the Razorbacks play here too!
They start the game with player introductions and running out through the tunnel!  Big time!

They won the game!  And Hudson played great!  He made a diving play for a flag at one point...and got it!  Way to go, Hudson!

They gave the players Breast Cancer awareness stickers for their uniforms today. I love the way people have rallied around that disease to support its victims and raise money for finding a cure.  Hudson has seen all the pink the NFL players are wearing this month...he thought this was really neat!
These are not the best video clips...kinda plays that died....but I love hearing Hudson's little voice on them!

Arkansas State Fair

Yay for the fair!  We love going to the fair every year!  Usually it involves jackets....but this year we wore shorts because it felt like summer!  Crazy weather!

We hit the rides and then spent a ton of time in the animal barns!  The kids loved feeding and looking at the animals!

I have to admit....I was ready to leave the animal barns the minute we walked in. Hot and stinky! But, I could sit and watch these baby ducks walk up this ramp and slide into the pool!  Pretty stinking cute!

Then more riding!

We rode "our" carousel!  Remember we made the Arkansas State Fair commercial that played the last few years?  There was a shot of the four of us on the carousel.  Lawson was 3 and Hudson was a baby! Shows you how long we have been coming to the Arkansas Sate Fair! We were sweaty messes this year...pretty sure they would not want us on their commercial this year!

We ended the evening with our annual funnel cake and ferris wheel ride!  Gotta wait until it is dark to ride the ferris wheel so you can take in the view of all the lights! Love, love it!

Til next year!
