February

This month we have spent every Friday night(we are busy on Wed/Thurs when it actually airs) watching the final season of American Idol.  Rob and I have watched all 15 seasons.  And the kids have watched it since their were itty bitty!  It is definately a family favorite! So sad that it is ending!
To make it even more interesting...a boy from our church in Bentonville made it to Hollywood and almost mad it to the top 10!
He came home after Hollywood week and sang at our church one Sunday before he went back to continue competing.  Robbie took the kids backstage and introduced him to Thomas.  They thought that was so cool!  And I must it was pretty neat seeing him just a few days after you watched him be on TV... having a convo with J Lo!
Hudson has really enjoyed this season of basketball.  So far his team is 5-1.  Hudson has scored between 4-12 points each game.  Its fun watching how much he improves in his skills year to year.

I thought Lawson's Valentines were super cute this year!

This little dog came running past our house dragging its leash one Saturday afternoon while we were out playing basketball.  We grabbed his leash and started looking around for its owner....thinking someone was probably looking for their dog.  Well, after hours of searching, and realizing it was about to be dark and freezing cold...I started to get a little worried about what we would do with this dog overnight.  The kids were getting their hopes up that they might "score" a dog.  Rob called a local vet and they said they would keep it over night and see if it might be micro chipped and try to locate the owner.  Thank goodness.  But, there were 2 sad little faces at our house that night.

The superbowl was a lot of fun this year!  Both quarterbacks....Peyton Manning and Cam Newton....made it a very intersting game.  We were a house divided.

Lawson got braces this month!

She has an expander in the roof of her mouth and some additional "arm" things on the sides.  They are trying to make room to bring all her teeth into alignment and push her jaw forward a little.  She could hardly talk the day we left the office...and couldn't figure out how to eat at lunch that day.  I was pretty worried about what we had signed up for! But within a few days, she was pretty much back to normal.  What a trooper!

We went to our first Razborback Basketball game on Feb 20 and had a lot of fun!

Oh, how I love "calling the hogs"!  (Insert sarcasm).

The kids challenged themselves to 30 days of no fighting.  And they have done so amazingly well!  I didn't think they could make it through one day....based on their track record!  And they made it like 18 before they had their first altercation!  Rob and I were SO imperssed!  Hudson said that they were "addicted" to not fighting.  Ha! Ha! I'm pretty sure he meant maybe they had formed a new habit or something.  But, if they are addicted to not fighting...so be it!  Their new "addiction" has also resulted in them playing together more.  It's been so fun to watch them play together.  When they were little they played together all the time.  But, as they have gotten older, they just don't have as many common interests!

However nothing like spoon wars and taste guessing games to bring you back together!

(For the record, I would NEVER put on a blindfold and let my brother "stick something in my mouth.  Never.)

Judy and Turner came to hang out on Valentine's weekend!  We had so much fun with them!

These two...still playing together!  Love it!

Valentine's goodies!

And we had heart pizza for dinner!

And then Mimi came to spend the laqst weekend in February with us.  She got to go to one of Hudson's basketball games and watch Lawson's cheer team have a dress rehersal for their upcoming competition.

We spend our Saturday afternoon on a hiking trail in Bella Vista.  It was a gorgeous day!  The sun was literally shinging down upon us...check out the pic! (no filter)

And the firls were shoe triplets at church on Sunday!

This team has only been working on the routine for about 2.5 months!  They still have a little polishing to do before competition...but I'm so impressed!  (Will post a video soon...but can't until after competition.)

All 3 Infiniti prep teams and coaches. (La in middle of back row.)
