February Randoms

February was full of basketball and cheerleading for our family!

Hudson really enjoyed playing basketball again this year!  He did a great job scoring points and getting rebounds every game!

Hud has mastered the pogo stick he gor for Christmas.  He could jump on it about 5-10 times before falling off....until today it just clicked!

Robbie went to Donuts with Dads with both kids.
And Rob and Hud even made the school webpage!

Lawson's cheer team got to cheer at halftime at a UALR basketball game!

All 4 Empire Cheer Squads performed together at this event!  Look at all the cheerleaders!
Her squad performed at a Cheer Comp in Little Rock this month too.  They had several girls not able to perform and so the routine kept changing.  They had one week to learn this routine (ground up) with a total of 4 practices....and even during those practices there were many changes to the routine!  I went to all the practices....and they had really never nailed the performance once.  I was pretty nervous about it!  When stunts don't go up, its hard for them to even figure out where to pick back up with the routine!

I was so happy for them!  They did GREAT!  The best they had performed the routine! Great time to nail it girls!

Hud was invited to play on a tournament basketball team!  He was so excited!

It was a fun opportunity for them.  They came in 2nd place!  (Don't tell anyone there were only 3 teams in the second grade bracket!)
Now on to baseball!

Winter Storms 2015

Well...after making it through Dec, Jan and most of Feb with no snow we thought we might not see snow this year!  And then SUPRISE!  We have had 3 different snow storms in the last 2 weeks!
And the kids have had 5 snow days!
So, here are some pics of the fun we have had!

One morning we woke up to the most sunny Winter Wonderland!  Hudson had been out playing one morning and then came in to get his iPod.  He said there beautiful trees around the neighborhood that he wanted to take pics of.  I grabbed my camera and followed him around while he took pics.  He was right!  They were gorgeous!  It was so cute that he wanted to take pics of it!

Snow ball fight!

Might be the best snow angel ever!

It was so cold the net was frozen tight!
La spent one morning practicing piano!  So cute!
And our snowman!  Most of the stuff we got was ice.  We had actual snow one day....but only about 1-2 inches.  We spent 2 hours scraping up most of the snow in our yard to build this little snowman!  Realizing that we might not get any more snow, we worked diligently to make it happen!  (had to spray the snow with water to get it to stick together!)

As the day went along the snowman started to lean, the kids thought it was awesome because he looked like he was surfing!

Now back to school for us!
