Daddy Daughter Dance

So, if I am remembering correctly this is the 7th year Lawson and Rob had gone to a Daddy Daughter dance in Feb.  They are so cute....always looking forward to it!  This year Lawson's elementary school hosted the dance.  There were 150 dads there...each with at least 1 daughter...some had more...needless to say the gym was packed.  Which really added to the thrill I think!

First up, getting ready!  She had a couple of dresses in her closet that would work.  She tried them all on for us to decide...and we just LOVED the red dress she wore last year and thought we would wear it once more before she outgrows it!  I bought Lawson's shoes a size too big last year...thinking she would be able to wear them again this year.  Wrong!  We tried them on a few days before the dance and there was no way!  She was like Cinderlla's step sisters trying to fit into the glass slipper....except she is MUCH cuter than the stepsisters!  I asked Lawson how she wanted her hair.  She said big curls.  Which means blowing her out totally straight to then curl it with the curling iron.  It probably took 40 minutes!  But, turned out gorgeous! Rob grabbed a red tie and looked sharp in his suit...which probably hadn't been worn since the last dance!

A first this year was thatRobbie got Lawson a wrist corsage.  It had little red roses and sparkly ribbon!  So pretty!

Lawson and her friend, Haley.  So pretty!
Lots of dancing, gangman style dancing and trains!

They had Chic Fil A, cookies and cupcakes to eat!  Yummy!
My beautiful girl! How fast she grows up!
