April...
Lawson's cheer team performed one last time in a parent only performance to end their season. They did a good job! They take a break now until June.
Here is a new stunt Lawson's group learned right at the end of the year. They did not have time to incorporate it into their routine. Pretty impressive!
Hudson set up a water park in our back yard that afternoon. He lives a rough life!
We have been busy with science fair this month!
A cute Pic of La and her girls at school.
This was the "egg drop" day at school. Students could design some type of "crate" to put their egg in. The fire truck came and their science teacher went up in the bucket to drop their "crates" and then let the kids open to see if there egg had cracked or not. Pretty fun! (Lawson was just a spectator. Kids had to choose between this engineering project or doing science fair. La chose science fair.)
Hudson's baseball team is working hard....but have yet to win a game this season! Several have been close but they just couldn't pull them out! Note the long faces. Come on Pirates!
Morgan and La talking to Hudson in the dugout. Pretty Cute moment!
La climbed up in her dad's lap one night! Pretty sweet! Can not get over how she has grown the last two years!
Here is a trip down memory lane. I recently discovered that our house we built in Frisco was for sale. Really interesting to look at the realtor pics. We built this house in 2001 and it was our "baby". We worked with the builder to pick all the colors and design. Anyway, I was just shocked when I saw this current pictures of how tall the trees are! Above is a pic of when he had lived there about 2 years. And here is the recent pic! WOW! (Also: This is Lawson's first neighborhood walk. She is about 5 days old.)
My father in law always says the best time to plant a tree is about 15 years ago! Guess he is right! Because those trees are almost 15!
Here are the kids class pics.
A pic from glow stick night at church! Their entire evening was done in the dark! Pretty fun!
We have been pullin hard for our Mavs in the play offs! Houston is so good and we are without two of our starters! So, this playoff run will be short lived for us I'm afraid. But, not for our lack of trying! They are just better than us (ouch! hard to say!). But, we have definitely made them work for it! And the games have been fabulously entertaining...until we lose at the end! Here are some amazing pics from the series. I just love looking at the athleticism and heart these guys play with!
Dirk and Jet. Love them both! Why do we let amazing players go to other teams?! I obviously don't understand the basketball business. I have a long list of players I would have NEVER let go if I owned the Mavs.....starting with Nash!
Love, love the facial expressions on one of the newest mavs! And love his effort!
This tiny guy can change the game quick! Look at his leap!
You gave it your all Mavs...just like always! MFFL! Bummer it wasn't enough! Will miss you guys til next season! Hats off to Houston.
Science fair is always a lot of work and takes more time than you expect it to! We learned some things though and....
both La and Hud won FIRST place in their grade level! SO, excited, suprised and proud! They are both headed to Regional Science Fair at Henderson State Univerity next month! Would be just as proud of them if they had not placed. They both worked numerous hours on these projects! Winning was just bonus!
Lawson was SO nervous while she awaited the results. Look at the little girl behind her! Science Fair is dramatic I tell you! They interview the owners of the top 5 projects and then determine 1st, 2nd , 3rd. Lawson got an an interview. When I snapped this pic, they had already called out 2nd and 3rd place. So, she knew she was 1st place or no place!
2nd Grade Winners
5th Place Winners
Lawson had one last TOT performance. They performed for their entire school (which is 700 students), several middle school PE classes, plus parents....not far off from 1000 people! She said they were SO nervous! They put on a great show! Way to go BES TOT!
