This was one of those (few) days...

... when the weather is warm but not too warm.
...you have time to air up the bike tires and take your kids on a bike ride.
...the sky is so "Colorado" blue that it doesn't look real.
(You can see it in Hud's glasses reflection.)
...your 6 yr old smiles because she can still squeeze herself into the baby bike seat.
...you're not too busy to play at the park.
... AND there is enough wind to fly your kite.

...that you just need more of.
(What is not captured in these photos is how right before we headed home, we managed to avert crisis. Lawson let go of her favorite rainbow kite. We all sat and watched it blow away until it just vanished in the blue sky. Rob and I were like, "Yep, that ought to bring us back to reality today!" Because we knew the meltdown that would ensue once she reazlied it was gone! We quickly hopped into the car and went to look in the neighborhood the kite was over when it disappeared. We had little hope to find the rainbow kite. We turned into the neighborhood; and, to our disbelief, saw 2 Jehovah's witness teenagers (dressed in their black and white) playing in the street with a rainbow kite. It was a funny site! They said they were just walking down the street, and this rainbow kite just descended out of the sky! They gave it back and all was well with La!)
What a day!
