Recital

So...it's finally the big night. Mimi came into town around noon.  We met up with Nonie and Poppa at a fun hamburger joint for a pre-show meal!  We were certainly going to need it to last through the evening.  We had to arrive about 4 and were there until about 9.
I had done Lawson's hair at home but waited until we got to the dressing rooms to do her make up so it would be fresh!
Ta Da! What a little beauty!
We got ready a few minutes early so we ran out to the front steps to grab a few shots...but it was hot and sticky so we didn't take too many.

Once back inside...her and her classmates got back to practicing (their own idea).  So, cute to see THEM really concerned about getting it all just right.

I got quite a work out!  Lawson had 6 costume changes to make.  So, I would go to my seat and watch...then hop up after her dance...run out of auditorium...down a flight of stairs...down a hallway and meet her in the dressing room.  Get her set...then back all the way to my seat!  Whew!

There was one point in the evening that Lawson had a big enough break between performances that she got to come out and watch.  She was glued to it!

Despite the look on his face, Hudson really did enjoy the show.  He sat through the entire thing and had a lot to say about it afterwards.  He had a few favorite dances.  However, when it was over...taking pics was not what he had in mind. I hate that he kinda messed the family pics up...but he's six and had just sat through 3 hours of dancing.

Lawson got flowers from Nonie and Poppa, Mimi, Hudson and me and Rob.  My kitchen has looked like a floral shop this week!

Lawson did an amazing job!  Really proud of her and LOVED every minute of watching her dance!

Lawson is on right hand side to center of the stage on most of the songs.

Lawson is in red dress center stage...behind girl in bright yellow.

Grand Finale.  Lawson comes out in the 3rd group (I think) she is on right hand side of stage.  Has pink flower in hair and pink feathers on her sleeves.
