Christmas Eve

We told the kids we would exchange presents just within our own family on Christmas Eve morning.  And they woke and were ready to get right to it!

They opened gifts from us first.

And then La and Hud exchanged gift with each other.

And then we opened gifts they had for us!  We took them to the Dollar Tree and let them pick out whatever they wanted to get us.  They are pretty thoughtful little gift givers.
I got a new red travel cup, a bath tub back loofah, rainbow colored refrigerator magnets, a small handy cutting board, a plastic crystal serving dish, and toilet blowl cleaner. (Not sure yet how I feel about that last one!)

Rob got an orange flash light for hunting, pizza sliced shaped rubbermaid container, a small stapler for his office, and candy.

Then we got cleaned up and headed over to Nonie and Poppas.

The entire Buie Gang
And it was time for more presents!

And we are now the proud owners of a neon gel ant farm!  Didn't see that coming!  But, it is pretty cool!

Then we were off to a hibachi grill for a nice Christmas Eve lunch.  We have not been to one since Hudson was about 2.  Being little he did not know what to expect and the first time the chef flamed up the grill, he started crying "the cooker man put fire in my eyes" and could NOT recover.  Anytime we would mention going back he would say no. But, today was our day!

I think he liked it this time!

Although he didn't even eat off the hibachi grill!  Ordered a hamburger...silly boy!

It was a lot of fun!
Afterwards, we went to the Christmas Eve service at our church.  Then home to tuck into bed so Santa could come.  We put out the reindeer food, put out Santa's snack, tucked into bed and watched about half of the The Christmas Story before they fell asleep.  What a great way to spend Christmas Eve!
