PJ Day at School

The kids are participating in AWANA at our church.  They have memorized SO much scripture.  And mom has too (helping them)!  They love it!  AND are so proud of the badges they have earned! And I love them having God's word stored away in their little minds!

I really have no words for this one!  But wow!  You just never know what is going on around our house!

Hudson is going to play basketball in January.  Here he is at a skills evaluation in front of all the coaches.    Doesn't he look convincing?!  The kids had to dribble around some cones and then run and do a layup.  He dribbled quickly, but under control, around those cones and hit nothing but net.  He was one of the first to do so well...and you could hear the crowd awwww.  He was proud....and I was too!   Hopefully he can do that in a game now!  Last year he shyed away from the defense.

Rob and I were able to go eat with both the kids at their Thanksgiving lunch.  The food wasn't too bad either!

Lawson found this recipe in a book in her class.  It caught her eye because she said it was for a family of 4...and we have 4!  She wanted me to buy the ingredients so she could make it for us!  How sweet is that!!! So impressed she took the time to right the entire recipe out too.

She cooked us dinner one night...and it was yummy!

I came to pick up Hudson from school one October afternoon...to discover he had just lost his 3rd tooth!

Here is Lawson's rainbow pumpkin!  The third grade class had a pumpkin decorating contest.  They were supposed to decorate it in a way that represents them!  If you know anything about La, you know she loves Rainbows!  So, I had to quickly get on Pinterest and find an idea for a Rainbow pumpkin.  It was COMPLETELY covered in glitter!  It was gorgeous!  She won honorable mention.

A couple more cute Halloween pics...

Lawson is taking dance this year.  Her class got to wear their costumes the week of Halloween.

One day in October...it was walk to school day.  We didn't walk all the way from our house...they had several suggested drop off points.  We probably walked half a mile.  Then the PTA had fresh fruit, granola bars and juice for breakfast for all the kids.  So nice!

We got to go to the Casting Crowns concert at Verizon Arena in October.  Our church helped sponsor the concert so we got free tickets and got to meet the band backstage.  The kids were pretty star struck!  And it was a great show.  Didn't think they were one of my favorite bands....but there heart is really in the right place...kinda won me over.

That white figure on stage is Robbie...he was the MC of the concert!  VIP!
Hudson was being a sports announcer while watching the game!
