We went to Lawson's 3rd grade music performance tonight. It was Veteran's Day themed. The kids were asked to all wear red, white and blue. It was really cute!
They sang a couple of songs. In between the songs, the kids had speaking parts. They had memorized facts about the flag (never fly it in the dark without a spotlight on it, etc.), facts about the writing of the star spangled banner, etc.
I was most impressed with how on pitch the kids sang. I have heard quite a few kids choirs in my day...and they usually are pretty pitchy. But, these kids just sounded great! Even on the star spangled banner...and no one can sing that perfect! Not even the stars before football games!
Lawson had a speaking part...and she nailed it...of course! Way to go, La! Great job!
