Hudson's first Hunting Trip / Girls Weekend

We had our first ever....girls weekend/boys weekend.  The kids were out of school today so I kept La and Rob took Hud on his first real hunting trip!
These pictures of Hudson make me smile.  He looks SO in his element.  Just being all boy. They spent friday riding the Ranger, doing some target practice (yes, him and Robbie actually shot a gun!) and prepping  the deer stand.

Ready bright and early to hunt. I think they managed to stay in the deer stand for about an hour and a half before Hudson was "done" hunting!  They saw a few deer...but none gun worthy.

Meanwhile Lawson and I entertained ourselves with some much needed pampering! We started with pedicures.  Lawson picked colors for both of us!  I got the turqoise!

This pic is a little freaky...we gave ourselves facials!

While they processed she helped me cut out 25  vests out of  brown paper sacks!  I volunteered to do them for Hudson's class Thanksgiving feast. She was a HUGE help!

Then it was time to peel them off...also a little freaky!

Lawson had looked up some smoothie recipes online...so we tried a very berry smoothie while we watched the Mavs together.

Then it was time for bed.  We had a slumber party!

The next day we got up and went to our apartment gym, showered and headed to lunch at our new favorite burger place. Big Orange.  This is the white truffle burger and it is melt in your mouth delish!

Every good girls weekend involves a little shopping!  Children's place was having a Christmas party...so we stopped in made an ornament and Lawson picked out a few things!
Last order of business...Lawson saw this duck tape at Walmart and wanted to make a duck tape purse.  I told her I didn't know how to do that.  She said, "I have a you tube video you can watch that will show you how."  Kinda hard to argue with that.  So, we met the boys back at the house and make Lawson a duck tape purse and Hudson a razorback messenger bag (not to be called a purse under ANY circumstance!)

All though we love doing things together as a family..this was definately fun too!  Just spending one on one time with our kiddos!
