Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve...I love it!  It's my favorite day of the year!  Because its "like" Christmas, but Christmas isn't over yet.  I love the excitement in the air on Christmas Eve.  I love going to Christmas Eve Service!  I love going to bed with the excitement of "Santas Coming!"
We have started a Christmas tradition in the last several years where we exchange gifts just within our family of four on Christmas Eve Morning.  We are  blessed to have several rounds of Christmas and it just seems more enjoyable to kind open the gifts in little waves.  The kids have time to enjoy a few new toys before getting others later.

The kids really enjoyed buying presents for each other this year. And they wrapped them by themselves.

Excuse the toilet paper on our Christmas Tree!  Max (our elf) rolled us!

After our family gift exchange, we got dressed and met the entire Buie clan for some Hibachi for lunch!  This has kinda become a new tradition as well!  Love it!  It's really fun for the kids and yummy for me!

(Love Lawson's laugh!)

We spent the afternoon at Judy and Turners exchanging gifts with each other. It was a wonderful afternoon.

Then we went to the 4 O'Clock Christmas Eve Service at Rock Creek.
The decor was beautiful and the room spelled like cinnamon Christmas! So festive!

A few family photos!
The kids and I went home to get in our PJs and curl up for the evening.  Hudson busted in to some new tools he got this morning! Pretty funny!
The kids made some reindeer food and then decided that they needed to make a sign for our yard.

While we were putting the reindeer sign out, Hudson heard jingle bells in the sky.  He went bolting in to go get Rob's binoculars.  He looked and said he was pretty sure he saw Santa and the sleigh.  It was pretty exciting!

We put out Santa's snack and we were ready for bed!Big day ahead! (The kids really had a difficult time going to sleep this year...they were so excited and said they kept hearing "things"
